60 years of excellence producing outstanding interior solutions

The roots of Vincents Interiors go back to 1952 when liberal thinking, young Henry Vincent Perera founded his ambitious venture in upholstery and drapes in post-independence Sri Lanka.
With hands-on experience working in a small furniture company prior to that, our founder launched his brand to capture the novel market that existed at that time for custom-made furniture and upholstery. At the outset he faced many challenges. With no formal training, he had to hone his skills to become a self-taught businessman using his intuitive knack for the craft. Finding resources was equally tough due to numerous preconceived notions about working in the industry. Operating from his small office at Vajira Road, he groomed his children, relatives and others working under him to learn the craft.

Excellence through diversification over generations to offer our clients the best solutions

Starting with upholstery, he gradually diversified the business into vehicle upholstery and home deco. Many who worked at Vincents eventually took the business beyond Colombo by starting workshops in their villages. In the late 70s, our founder decided to pass on the mantle to his son-Eric Perera to continue and build on his vision. During Eric Perera's leadership; with his wife Mary Perera also helping in the business; the company successfully developed the business complex at No. 41 Ransivi Lane with a four-floor segregation for different assignments such as polishing, upholstery, vehicle interior, deco etc. Despite the challenges faced due to the fluctuating drifts in the interior/upholstery industry during this period, the Vincents brand continued to operate with their many family members nurturing and embracing the business.

in the Upholstery Industry.

The business has stood the test of time navigating through turbulent spells until the third generation of Vincents– Dishan Perera and Dennis Perera inherited the business in year 2000, with their sister Melani Perera later joining in to breathe a new lease of life into the old company while retaining its former glory.

Inspired by the long family heritage, and with extensive experiences gained in involving in the business from a young age, the third generation of Vincents continue at present, modifying the operating model, introducing new concepts and connecting with the modern trends in the field of upholstery and interior designing.
